The Clark County Historic Preservation program was created to protect the county's rich heritage. Currently, there are more than 70 sites listed on the Clark County Historic Register.

Historic buildings and properties are the cornerstone of Clark County heritage and culture. They are the legacy of the spirited settlers and residents who shaped the land and the history of the region. Although Clark County is rich in properties of the past, the future of historic preservation is up to us. Historic Preservation programs rely on citizen involvement to protect and restore historic sites in our community.
Historic Preservation Commission
The HPC initiates and maintains the Clark County Historic Register and reviews proposed design changes to registered properties.
Historical Promotions Grant
Each year, the Board of County Councilors awards grants to encourage historic preservation and programs, including the preservation of historic documents.
