NE 88th Street Sewer Construction
Clark Public Utilities continues to relocate utilities poles. Minor traffic delays can be expected.
Highway 99 at NE 129th Street
Underground utility work may be occurring in the intersection with NE 129th Street and Highway 99. Ostrander Construction will be working extended hours to complete the work in the intersection. Lane closures with delineation devices and flaggers will be used for traffic control. Please use alternate routes whenever possible. Highway 99 closed at Salmon Creek
Highway 99 across Salmon Creek north of Vancouver remains closed while the replacement bridge is built. Construction work is underway. During the closure, motorists should use Interstate 5 as the alternate route between NE 99th Street and NE 134th Street. Highway 99 is open to local traffic on either side of the bridge. NE St. Johns Road from NE 50th Avenue to NE 72nd Avenue
Progress continues on this project. Ongoing traffic impacts include: Phase 2 with an all way stop at the new intersection of NE 72nd Ave and NE St Johns, construction speed reduction to 25 mph and intermittent lane closures in one direction. There will likely be traffic delays in both directions. Non-residents are strongly urged to use an alternate route. Single lane closures are allowed between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This project is expected to be under construction until spring 2009. NE 72nd Avenue, Vicinity of 88th Street to St. Johns Road

Northeast 124th Avenue/Northeast 114th Street
These roads will be closed beginning July 7 through August 29 between Northeast 104th Street and Northeast 130th Avenue for private sewer line construction. The closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Use alternative routes if possible.
Special Project Road Closures
There will be occasional, daytime lane restrictions to allow vehicles and other equipment to enter and exit the park construction sites at the following locations:
* NW 131st Street at NW 47th Avenue
* NE 54th Avenue just north of NE 40th Street
* NE 28th Street between NE 182nd and 184th avenues
* NE 159th Avenue between NE 70th and 72nd Street
Asphalt Overlay Schedule:

E 32nd Avenue and E 11th Street
The project is substantially complete and the roadway is open to all traffic. Construction Improvements include reconstruction of existing roadway, new ADA compliant concrete ramps and sidewalks and storm water improvements.
NE 49th Street, from NE 112th Avenue to NE 126th Avenue
The project is substantially complete with the exception of the signal controller at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast 49th Street. Equipment has been ordered and is currently expected to take approximately four weeks. Overall project includes widening and reconstructing existing roadway, new bike lanes, ADA curb ramps and sidewalks, storm water and sewer improvements, traffic signals, and streetlights.
Sewer Rehabilitation Project
Construction has begun on a sewer rehabilitation project to improve main lines. Residences and business affected by the project will be notified at least 24 hours before any temporary service restrictions on sewer usage. Drivers should be alert to possible lane closures, flaggers and ramps near project work area. The work area boundaries are Interstate 5 to the east, Northwest Lincoln Avenue to the west, West 23rd Street to the north and Northwest 12th Street to the south.
Pavement Management Program – Overlay and Slurry Seal
The City of Vancouver’s annual overlay and slurry seal Pavement Management Program, preventive maintenance to extend the life of streets, is under way in various locations throughout the city. Work is expected to be completed by the end of September. Residents of affected streets will receive notices prior to paving or slurry seal taking place.
