Title 8

It is hereby declared to be the public policy of Clark County to adopt and enforce those animal control measures deemed desirable and necessary for the protection of the health, welfare and safety of the residents and animals of Clark County and to prevent injury to property and cruelty to animals. To this end, it is the purpose of the ordinance codified herein to provide a means of licensing dogs, cats and facilities; to regulate animal behavior so that it will not constitute a nuisance; and to prevent or curtail inhumane treatment to animals.
