Destroyed Property

Owners of real or personal property destroyed in whole or in part prior to December 31 may be eligible for a prorated reduction in the following year's taxes. To receive the prorated reduction in taxes, the owner must file a Taxpayer's Claim for Reduction of Assessments form together with a Petition for Property Tax Refund with the Assessor's Office.
