| Bike and pedestrian trails ~ video 4½ minutes |
Clark County is developing a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan to make it safer and more convenient for people to get to major destinations on foot or by bicycle.
The plan will identify ways to improve the transportation network by integrating existing sidewalks, bike lanes and trails. This will require design standards that work well with Clark County’s transportation network for motor vehicles.

Open House feedback
Clark County held an open house on September 23, 2009 at Fishers Landing Transit Center to provide the public the opportunity to ask questions and learn the status of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. In addition, county staff was interested in input on the following topics:
- Potential updates to the Clark County Bicycle Commute Plan adopted in 1996.
- How to enhance planning reflected in the Regional Trail & Bikeway Systems Plan
adopted by Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation in 2006. - Broader concerns about how to make the county more “walkable” to promote
health and safety for pedestrians both in urban and rural areas.
The feedback and comments received at the Open House are illustrated in the two maps below. Click on a map to open the pdf.
