Commissioners call for Drainage Improvement District 5 applications

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is requesting nominations and applicants to fill a vacant position on a three-member panel that oversees Drainage Improvement District No. 5. The district includes the area bounded roughly by 132nd Avenue on the west, 99th Street on the south, 182nd Avenue on the east and 149th Street on the north.

Drainage improvement district commissioners have authority to purchase property, enter into contracts, and conduct business as needed to maintain and operate drainage systems. They are elected or appointed for staggered terms of six years.

Applicants must be property owners within Drainage Improvement District 5 and registered voters in the state of Washington.
