Prosecution

The Prosecution Unit is responsible for reviewing the detective investigations to determine if criminal child abuse charges should be filed to hold perpetrators of felony child abuse accountable. If charges are filed, the case is assigned to a prosecutor to prepare the case for prosecution in court. Case preparation includes interviews, review of physical evidence, as well as any additional follow-up information that may be necessary for successful prosecution.
