The Children’s Justice Center (CJC) is a nationally accredited Children’s Advocacy Center that provides a safe and child-friendly place for child victims of criminal-level abuse and their non-offending family members to effectively address incidents of child abuse in Clark County. The center’s multidisciplinary team of well-trained responders come together from across agencies and jurisdictions to address crimes against children in a comprehensive manner, which includes holding perpetrators of abuse accountable through our judicial system, with sensitivity and consideration for the child’s well being, health and healing needs. Center-site staff collocates from the following public and private agencies: Clark County, City of Vancouver, YWCA Sexual Assault Program, Washington State Department of Children and Family Services and the Children’s Center. Together they investigate, provide support services and help prosecute perpetrators of felony child abuse.
