We want to hear from you
Participating in your county government can be a lot easier when you know whom to call and how to reach people. We have a number of ways to help you do that.
Qwest Dex Telephone Directory
One good place to start is the government pages listings of the local telephone directory. Please refer to the Clark County section in the blue pages at the front of the directory. One important feature is a general information number for the county. It’s (360) 397-2000. Through this number you can be referred to any department or specific person in county government. It is the first number in the Clark County section of the phone book.
Public Information and Outreach
Another good information source is the Public Information and Outreach Office, publishers of this guide. We are at (360) 397-6012 or send us an e-mail at pio@clark.wa.gov. In addition to helping you personally, we can provide you with a free copy of the county’s own telephone directory of county government services. Additionally, some of the larger county departments maintain special phone listing sheets of their own that contain the phone numbers of each of their employees, listed by function. Public Works and Community Development are two such departments.
Departments and elected officials
Understanding how government is organized can help you know whom to contact.
