Enhanced Patrol

The purpose of the program is to provide for the public safety and community livability through an increased animal control presence within public and student areas of recreation.

Animal Control Officers patrol parks, hiking trails, public meetings areas or schools to look for violations of the leash, licensing, aggressive behavior, and scoop laws. These violations may result in considerable fines. Patrols also occur outside standard hours of operation and cover all seven days of the week.

Target dates:

April through August - Parks (Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation)

September through March - Regional school grounds and bus stops
