Neighbors invested in Code Enforcement
Neighbors Invested in Code Enforcement is a proactive volunteer program that helps property owners comply with building, zoning and nuisance codes before enforcement action is necessary.
How does it work?
Selected volunteers receive comprehensive training that combines studying and active fieldwork with a certified Code Enforcement Officer. Once you have completed our training, you will visit properties, evaluate situations and determine if code violations have occurred. When code violations are identified, you may discuss the situation with the property owner and suggest ways they can resolve the problem.
Volunteers are not officers of the county, nor are they officers of the law and therefore will not be authorized to engage in any enforcement functions.
How do I get involved?
To begin your volunteer experience with Clark County Code Enforcement you will need to complete a volunteer interest form. Code Enforcement staff will review your interest form and may then contact you for an interview.
Interest forms are also available at the Code Enforcement office located on the third floor of the Public Service Center or by calling (360) 397-2375, ext. 4912.
