Clark County’s riparian areas located next to streams and creeks provide healthy habitat for fish and wildlife. Native plants in these areas keep water clean and cold for fish, and provide the food, shelter and shade our wildlife needs to survive.

The county’s Habitat Conservation Ordinance encourages the use of native plants when planting in designated habitat areas. The Property Information Center will help you determine if designated habitat areas are located on your property.
