Protect Against Fires

It's about more than just putting out fires. The Fire Marshal's office helps to protect the lives and property of county residents by reducing the risk and severity of fires.

  • The Fire Marshal enforces state and local statutes relating to fire prevention and controls the sale and use of fireworks.
  • Deputy fire marshals investigate arson and other suspicous fires, as well as fires involving loss of life, serious injury, or other large-loss fires countywide.
  • Fire inspectors regularly inspect all types of business helping owners and managers assure fire safety for themselves and their customers.
