The $38 million Center for Community Health provides, under one roof, convenient access to enhanced social and health services for regional veterans and other community members.

Greater than the sum of its parts, the center houses the American Legion - Department of Washington Service Division, Clark County Department of Community Services,
Clark County Public Health Department, Clark County Veteran’s Assistance Program,
Community Services Northwest, Consumer Voices Are Born (CVAB), Cowlitz Indian Tribe Health & Human Services, Hotel Hope (a 16-bed combined co-occurring mental health and substance abuse evaluation and treatment center managed by Columbia River Mental Health Services), Lifeline Connections, the Mental Health Ombudsman, and the
US Department of Veterans Affairs.

The collaboration of partners will realize long-term savings while enhancing services to the community.

The Center for Community Health offers Southwest Washington’s first-ever residential substance abuse treatment facilities and crisis treatment services are now greatly enhanced.

In addition to the 16-bed combined co-occurring mental health and substance abuse evaluation and treatment center, the facility houses 16 residential drug and alcohol treatment beds for the deaf and hard of hearing, capacity for 16 detoxification beds, split between acute and sub-acute services, and 60 residential drug and alcohol treatment beds for adults.

The Clark County Center for Community Health serves as a national model for collaboration, savings, and efficiency. Its unique combination of multiple health and social services provides continuity of care for patients, preventing many from falling through the cracks and out of the system.
