DUI Detention Center Program

This program provides services to those offenders sentenced to serve a one or two day jail sentence for a first time offense of DUI. Offenders are booked into the Clark County Jail and spend one entire day in an educational setting, including an AA meeting, video, etc. Law Enforcement Center

Location:

Law Enforcement Center, 707 West 13th Street, Vancouver, WA. West Door, between the Sheriff's Office and the Clark County Court House.

Booking Time:

6:00 p.m. (Late Arrivals Will Not Be Accepted). Participants are then transported to the Jail Work Center where they will serve their jail time and attend the Detention Center Class. Failure to report on time will result in their case being returned to court for failure to comply with program rules. A recommendation to the Court to impose additional jail time will result.

Fee:

The fee for the Detention Center is $125. Fees can be paid in person at Clark County Corrections, 707 W. 13th Street, Vancouver (or) can be mailed to: Clark County Corrections, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. As an alternative to paying fees, participants can arrange to work off their fee on Work Crew. This must be completed three days prior to the scheduled incarceration date.

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED CHARGES


Program Rules:

Do not bring food, money (other than $3 for an intake packet), jewelry or other valuables. Participants will be provided with sheets, towels, etc. Intake packet of comb and toothbrush / paste, etc. is available for $3.

Educational / informational program and materials will be presented throughout the day.

Smoking is allowed during breaks, only if a sealed pack of cigarettes is brought. Any opened packs will be taken at time of booking and returned upon release.

Participants are released at 6:00 p.m. following the DUI Detention Center class.

Any prescription medication must be in an unopened, original bottle, with tamper proof tape applied by the issuing pharmacy. Participants must have a note / letter from their practitioner stating what medication they are on and why.
