As Presiding Judge of District Court, Judge Hagensen acts as the Chief Administrative Judge for the Court and Clark County Corrections. Responsibilities include policy review and implementation, scheduling, long range planning, along with overseeing the budget, implementation of new technologies, and the administrative function of the combined departments.
Judge Hagensen is a lifelong resident of Clark County and a Camas High School graduate. After attending Clark Community College, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Washington University, enrolled in the MBA program at Portland State University, and completed law school at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.
Serving on the bench for six years, Judge Hagensen brings 23+ years of a broad based legal background to the District Court bench that includes prosecuting, indigent and retained criminal defense, and civil litigation experience. He also has served as an elected official as a School Board director and Port Commissioner.
