Title 2.43 and 2.42 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), authorizes the appointment of language interpreters to assist non-English speaking persons and hearing impaired individuals in legal proceedings. The statute is intended to protect the constitutional rights of non-English speaking persons and people with hearing impairment.
Individuals requiring interpreter services may contact the interpreter coordinator at the Clark County District Court Administrative Offices or by telephone at (360) 397-6105 or via e-mail at DistrictCourtInterpreterCoordinator@clark.wa.gov. It would be helpful to the interpreter coordinator if you have specific case information.
The interpreter program is handle by the District Court Interpreter Coordinator for all the courts in Clark County.
