Animal Control Advisory Board vacancy for livestock owner - deadline May 31

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants for an open position on the Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board.
Applicants must be Clark County residents affiliated with a local livestock organization as a member, employee or officer.
The county defines livestock as any horse, mule, burro, dairy or beef animal, llama, goat, sheep, swine, rabbit or poultry.
Advisory board meetings are held quarterly at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month. Meetings are at Clark County Operations Division, 4700 N.E. 78th St.
Functions of the 10-member board include:
• Reporting to the Board of County Commissioners and Vancouver City Council at least once a year on recommended modifications to county code and general operations of the Animal Protection & Control Program.
• Acting as an appeal hearing board.
