Recount of general election results for 17th legislative district senator and state representative position 1

On Monday, December 3, 2012, a mandatory manual recount of the ballots cast in the November 6, 2012 General election for the 17th Legislative District - Senator race was conducted. The unofficial results of the recount show the vote totals changed slightly from the official certified election results as of November 27, 2012.

Don Benton received 27,542 votes and Tim Probst received 27,468 votes. Nine ballots are pending a Canvassing Board review.

The recount for the 17th Legislative District, State Representative, Position 1 contest between Monica Stonier and Julie Olson will be conducted Thursday, December 6, 2012.

Both recounts will be certified, Monday, December 10, 2012.
