Ballots for the April 23 Special election are now available at the Clark County Elections Department, 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver. Election Department office hours are from 8 AM until 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Mail ballots are being mailed on Wednesday, April 3 to all eligible registered voters. For this election, voters in the Battle Ground School District, Green Mountain School District and La Center School District will receive a ballot. If a voter does not receive their mail ballot by Friday, April 12, they should contact the Elections Office by calling (360) 397-2345 and request a replacement ballot. On Tuesday, April 9, at 10 AM, the Clark County Elections Department will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming to be used to tabulate ballots for the April 23 Special election. Members of the news media, district representatives and the public are invited to attend this test, which is a requirement of Washington State law. The test will be held at the Clark County Elections Department, 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver.
On Tuesday, April 23, election day, at 5 PM, the process of entering the scanned ballot information into the ballot tabulation system will begin. No reports of election results will be printed until after 8 PM, election day. Election results will be available on the County Auditorís internet web site at http://clarkvotes.org. A sample ballot for this election is currently available at this web site address.
