Clark County Environmental Services has teamed up with Washington State University Vancouver, to offer internships that provide students with field experience while they prepare for careers in environmental fields. Interns earn $10 an hour, for a maximum of $1,500 per semester.
- Natural resources – Duties include collecting samples from county waterways, entering data from water samples and assisting with research and analysis. More information > (PDF)
- Noxious weed control – Duties involve surveying and mapping noxious weeds, community outreach and volunteer events to control noxious weeds. More information > (PDF)
- Sustainability – Duties include preparing reports on county operations, assembling recycling and waste diversion reports and assisting with the Green Neighbors, Green Businesses and Green Schools programs in Environmental Services. More information > (PDF)
