County seeks volunteers to serve on Clean Water Commission

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is calling for applications, nominations and recommendations for volunteers to serve on the county’s Clean Water Commission.

Five positions are available. Two positions would start immediately, with terms ending in February 2015. Three positions have terms running March 2014 through February 2017.

The clean water advisory group makes recommendations to the board about services, policies and financing to meet federal and state requirements for water quality, including stormwater management.

Residents of the county’s unincorporated area are encouraged to apply. Analytical skills are desirable, along with experience and interest in environmental issues.

Six meetings are held annually in the sixth-floor training room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
