Endangered Species Act

Salmon recovery in Clark County

Mention the Pacific Northwest and one of the first things most people think of is salmon. A regional treasure, salmon are central to our history, culture, and economy. They may also be in danger of disappearing.

Throughout the Northwest, the wild fish are in decline. Clark County is actively working to improve salmon habitat to help restore healthy runs of salmon - not just because the fish are an important part of our heritage, or because the Endangered Species Act (ESA) requires it, but also because what's good for the fish is good for us.
