Did you know that one quart of motor oil can pollute 250,000 gallons of water? Stenciling storm drains broadens public awareness that runoff from county roads goes directly into our streams and rivers.
Clark County invites individuals, community groups, and other volunteers to help protect our stormwater by stenciling the message "Dump No Waste - Drains to Stream" on storm drains. The county supplies all materials including paint, stencils, handouts, and safety equipment. Visit Public Work's Storm Drain Stenciling Web site for more information or contact Watershed Stewards, (360) 397-6060.
