The Region 6 AIDS Network, or AIDSNet, is an administrative program of the Clark County Health Department. Clark County Health Department is designated by state law to be the lead agency for the 11-county area in western Washington state that is Region 6.
Through inter-local agreements with those 11 county health departments the Regional AIDSNet office provides:
- Technical support for the community planning process
- Training and capacity-building for HIV prevention staff across the region that are involved in HIV efforts
- Support of HIV counseling and testing services in the region
- Communicating and monitoring the mandates of the state and federal regulations including the Washington AIDS Omnibus Law
The Region is responsible for the planning and allocation of federal and state HIV services funds.
