Southwest Washington Consortium on HIV and AIDS

"a partnership of service and support"

What is the Consortium?

The Consortium was formed in 1992 to respond to the needs of our HIV positive community. It consists of persons living with HIV, community members, and agencies. The purpose of the Consortium is to decide how to use federal fund in the best way to help those affected by HIV/AIDS.

What can I do?

We need your help to make the Consortium work! You can make a difference in our community by getting involved and making your voice heard. We need to hear what is important to you, a person living with HIV. What are your needs? What is needed to make your life better? How can we use the federal funds to help and support you?

Membership on the Consortium can be established by regular attendance at Consortium meetings, which take place on the third Monday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Consortium of Board of Directors is elected by the membership, and must include a majority of Directors who are living with HIV or AIDS. (However, disclosure of HIV status is not required.)
