WIC Nutrition

clinic services

The Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. There are three major components of the program:

  • Nutrition education: both in groups and with individuals
  • Food supplements: vouchers to buy specific food items from local grocers
  • Health related referral to other Health Department or community programs

The goal of WIC is to ensure a healthy start for all newborns through good prenatal care and early childhood nutrition.

WIC has offices at three Clark County locations in Vancouver, Battle Ground and Washougal.
