Equestrian Plan in the works

Clark County is developing an Equestrian Plan to identify issues related to equestrian activities within unincorporated Clark County.  Initial issues raised include:  gaps in the existing horse trail network; zoning that could support equestrian-related housing developments; economic development opportunities; and best management practices and policies to support equestrian activities.

The Equestrian Advisory Group held its first meeting on Monday, November 9th.  The group will hold regular monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Dollars Corner Fire Station, 21609 N.E. 72nd Ave., Battle Ground.

For more information about the plan, please visit the Equestrian Plan web page or contact Laurie Lebowsky at (360) 397-2280 ext. 4544 or email laurie.lebowsky@clark.wa.gov.
