Clark County Crisis Services

Services include evaluation and referral to community outpatient and inpatient service delivery systems as well as community supports, including peer support counselors and consumer advocacy organizations.  Designated Mental Health Professionals (DMHP) may also initiate 72-hour involuntary holds on those persons deemed a high risk to harm themselves or others, or who cannot provide for their own safety and welfare as a result of being gravely disabled.  Clark County Crisis Services are available by calling the Clark County Crisis Line at (800) 626-8137 or (360) 696-9560.

The County’s crisis team is knowledgeable of the network of services available in the community and across the state when matching consumers to a specific service or program of care that best meets their needs. This approach is consistent with the “recovery model” advocated by United States Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and consistent with Washington State’s Mental Health Transformation of Mental Health Services project.
