In some cases, it is impossible to avoid, minimize and mitigate all impacts on the development site. Project applicants will soon have three different ways to mitigate impacts off the site. They will be able to:
- Voluntarily contribute to a Cumulative Effects Fund.
- Find and restore their own sites.
- Use wetland banking credits.
