Growth planning and zoning advance to public hearings - June 5 and 6
Vancouver, WA – Public hearings will begin at 6:30 p.m. June 5 and 6 on the Clark County Comprehensive Growth Management Plan. The Planning Commission and Board of Clark County Commissioners will then formally consider proposed changes to urban growth boundaries, zoning in newly designated urban areas and written planning policies.
The hearings will be on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. Proposed growth planning and zoning maps will be on display starting at 6 p.m. each evening, along with related materials. Meanwhile, the Community Planning Web site continues to offer much more information at www.clark.wa.gov/longrangeplan/review/index.html.
Hearings will be structured as follows to help those planning to testify:
Tuesday, June 5 – Individual members of the public, property owners, and neighborhood groups are encouraged to present their views on the first evening.
Wednesday June 6 – Representatives of cities, school districts, public agencies and organizations other than neighborhood associations are encouraged to present their views on the second evening.
