Vancouver, WA – A map posted on the county Web site today shows the preliminary response by the Board of Clark County Commissioners to recommendations from the Planning Commission for changes to the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan.

The map shows proposed urban growth boundaries and zoning for new urban areas, based on growth plan hearings held during the month of June 2007. To view the map, please look for “BOCC Preliminary Recommendation June 27, 2007” on the Web site at www.clark.wa.gov/longrangeplan/review/

In addition, the map is on display on the third floor of the county’s Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver during regular business hours.

The Board’s growth plan hearing will continue at 10 a.m. July 5 on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center. At that time, the Board plans to receive public input on proposed changes to written planning policies, other written elements of the growth plan, and development regulations included in Title 40 of the Clark County Code.

On June 19 and 20, the Board received extensive public comment on the proposed land use map, including urban growth boundaries and zoning. There will be an opportunity on July 5 to comment on the proposed land use map for those who did not comment on June 19 or 20.

For more information, please visit the county Web site or call (360) 397-2280 ext. 4558.
