Vancouver, WA – The Board of Clark County Commissioners will deliberate on issues relating to the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan at 10 a.m. August 14 on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
Proposals before the Board will include changes to urban growth boundaries, zoning in newly designated urban areas, written planning policies and development regulations included in Title 40 of the Clark County Code.
The proposals are the result of extensive public meetings and hearings that began in 2005 and continued through July 5, 2007, when the Board closed public testimony. The public record is now closed, except in cases where the commissioners have requested specific information from specific people and organizations.
To prepare for deliberations on August 14, the Board will meet in a work session with county planners at 2 p.m. August 7 for a status report on materials necessary to capture the Board’s tentative decisions so far. The work session will also be on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center.
The Board’s most recent discussions are illustrated in the “BOCC Tentative Land Use Map – July 5, 2007”. The map is available on the county Web site and is on display on the third floor of the Public Service Center.
