Lacamas Lake Park playground to receive safety upgrade
Vancouver, WA – Starting Jan. 9, Clark County will replace the old wooden playground equipment at Lacamas Lake Regional Park with modern equipment.
The project will take about six weeks to complete. During that time, the playground will be closed to the public. The rest of the park will remain open.
The safety improvement project will cost approximately $85,000. Action Asphalt of Brush Prairie will complete the work. The county is using real estate excise taxes allocated for improvements and repairs at existing parks to pay for the project.
Clark County dedicated Lacamas Lake Regional Park in 1963, when it featured picnic areas, restrooms and trails. An extensive improvement project was completed in 1989, which included installation of the existing playground equipment.
The new equipment will provide a variety of play experiences for multiple ages, including climbing, sliding, swinging and spinning.
