Ballots for the August 7 Primary and Special election are now available at the Clark County Elections Department, 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver. Election Department office hours are from 8 AM until 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Mail ballots are being mailed today to registered voters. If a voter does not receive their mail ballot by Friday, July 27, they should contact the Elections Office by calling (360) 397-2345 and request a replacement ballot. On Tuesday, July 24, at 10 AM, the Clark County Elections Department will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the programming to be used to tabulate ballots for the August 7 Primary and Special election. Members of the news media, candidates, district representatives and the public are invited to attend this test, which is a requirement of Washington State law. The test will be held at the Clark County Elections Department, 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver.
On Tuesday, August 7, election day, at 5 PM, the process of entering the scanned ballot information into the ballot tabulation system will begin. No reports of election results will be printed until after 8 PM, election day. Election results will be released to the public and news media in Gaiser Hall at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, at or before 8:30 PM. Election results will also be available on the County Auditorís internet web site at http://clarkvotes.org. A sample ballot for this election is currently available at this web site address.
