Open house to celebrate public service by Commissioner Marc Boldt
Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 19 to honor Board Chair Marc Boldt for nearly two decades of service to the citizens of Clark County. The gathering will include presentations and light refreshments on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
Boldt was elected to the county board in 2004, and again in 2008, after serving five terms as a Washington State Representative from District 17. He has been a leader in a variety of civic efforts and currently serves as president of the Washington State Association of Counties.
A native of Vancouver and graduate of Evergreen High School, Boldt earned an associate degree in agriculture from Yakima Valley Community College. He has owned and operated farms in Clark County and has been active in the Washington State Farm Bureau. He also has conducted humanitarian missions in Mexico and Albania.
