The Clark County Youth House bully prevention planning team invites the public to help create a safer world by participating in an anti-bullying event Friday, April 5, at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St.

The event will feature the 2011 documentary film, Bully, which follows the lives of five students who face bullying at school. A panel of community members will then discuss solutions to bullying, and an art show entitled Peace, Prevention, Prosperity and Paint will be available for viewing.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the event will begin at 6 p.m. Admission is $5. Proceeds will go to youth violence prevention efforts in the community.

The event is sponsored by Kiggins Theatre, Youth Commission and Options Youth Program, which is coordinated by Columbia River Mental Health Services. The goal is to create a world where youth are safe and the community is a place to grow without fear of violence.
