Local food system council seeks applicants to fill two positions
Vancouver, WA – The Clark County Food System Council, a citizen advisory panel to local governments and community groups, is seeking applicants to fill two openings.
The council’s mission is to increase and preserve access to safe, local and healthy food for Clark County residents. Council members help create and maintain a sustainable community food system. They represent public health, nutrition, education, food security, waste management, resource conservation, agriculture, food distribution and relevant community organizations.
Council members must live and/or work in Clark County.
The council meets 4-6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. Terms are for two years. Members commit to attending monthly meetings and participating in council subcommittees.
