Tony grew up in Milwaukie Oregon. He went to Rex Putnam High School and Portland State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice. Tony received his law degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane.
Tony began his legal career prosecuting criminal cases in the Spokane County Prosecutor’s office in 1994. In 1997, Tony became a Major Crimes Prosecutor in Spokane. At that time, Tony began handling the most serious crimes in Spokane County including Murder trials, Third Strike cases, Elder Abuse cases, Robbery and most serious assault cases.
In 2000, Tony became a Deputy Prosecutor for Clark County. Tony has prosecuted all types of cases in Clark County. In 2004, Tony became a Major Crimes Prosecutor for Clark County. Since 2004, Tony has personally prosecuted many of the most serious cases in Clark County.
Tony was elected to serve as Clark County Prosecuting Attorney in 2010. Tony is a founding board member and Board Chair of the Clark County Elder Justice center. Tony serves as the Board Chair of the Arthur D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center. He sits on the Clark County Law and Justice board and he serves as board co-chair of the Clark County Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative.
Tony lives in Clark County with his wife and their two sons. Tony’s sons go to school here. Tony’s wife is a Cub Scout Den Leader. In his free time, Tony enjoys fishing with his sons, watching their basketball and football games, and hiking with his family. Tony and his family care deeply about Clark County.
