Its parks, greenways, and trail systems have something for everyone. Parks and Recreation also preserves open spaces and wildlife habitat for posterity.
In 1997, Clark County entered in a contractual agreement with the city of Vancouver to manage the parks and recreation services. This consolidation of the two parks and recreation agencies created the Vancouver - Clark Parks & Recreation Department.
