Phone: (360) 892-5531

Vancouver, WA – An exhibit of the works of Vancouver artist Karen Kessler opens Thursday, April 3, in the Sixth Floor Gallery of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Kessler’s paintings and block prints contrast the lively movement of dancing figures with images of soaring birds. The exhibit, entitled Taking Flight, is sponsored by the Clark County Arts Commission.

The exhibition is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. week days during April through June.

The art commission invites the public to a 5:30-7:30 p.m. reception for Kessler during First Friday Art Walk on May 2. The reception will be held on the sixth-floor of the Public Service Center.

Light refreshments will be served, and entertainment will be provided by Mt. View High School music students.
