Community involvement is important for everyone, no matter what age. Older adults' desire to remain active and give back to their communities is well-documented.
The Aging Readiness Plan identified three challenges that adults face as they age in relation to staying engaged within their communities.
- Meaningful opportunities to stay engaged
- Barriers to employment
- Lack of accessible information about engagement opportunities
Community Engagement work committee
