Comprehensive Growth Management Plan
A Board of County Commissioners work session is scheduled on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:30-11:30 to consider a 20-year population figure and to review the public participation plan for the plan update. The work session will be held at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver on the 6th floor.
The Washington Growth Management Act (GMA; RCW 36.70A) states that jurisdictions required to plan under the GMA must review their comprehensive plans at least every eight years and revise them if necessary. Clark County will begin the process of updating its 2007 Comprehensive Growth Management Plan in July 2013. The deadline for completion of the update is June 30, 2016.
Work sessions with the Board of County Commissioners were held on July 17 and October 9, 2013. The purpose of the work sessions was to begin discussions with the Board about updating the county's comprehensive plan.
