Leadbetter House

A fine example of early 20th century domestic architecture, this Bungalow style building includes two covered recessed porches, one projected porch, and an expansive enclosed sun porch. Revealed in the interior are ornate scroll patterns on the living room window’s wood valance, old fashioned hardrock maple tongue and groove hardwood floors, and classic old radiators, still circulate water heated in a gas boiler. 

The Leadbetters, Camas’ founding family, built the house as a summer home. Later the home was used as a guesthouse for staff visiting the Crown-Columbia Pulp and Paper Company.
