This beautiful building is in the shape of a U, with the street facing sides divided into alternating solid brick and recessed window bays. The entrance is surrounded by terra cotta of scroll and acanthus patterns. The building is similarly surrounded with scroll and lambs tongue patterns. A very unique copper and bronze elliptical canopy covers the entranceway.
This is one of several Art Deco buildings built in Western Washington by Pacific Northwest Bell between 1928 and 1946. Pacific Northwest Bell used this building as its headquarters from 1934 to 1985.
