Freeholders to hear overview of county government Saturday

Vancouver, WA – Carolyn Long, associate professor at the School of Politics, Philosophy and Public Affairs of Washington State University Vancouver, will present an overview of county government when the Clark County Board of Freeholders meets at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.
The 15-member board will convene in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. The meeting is open to the public and includes a brief public comment period.
Also, one of the county’s deputy prosecuting attorneys will present details of state public records law.
Board members will deliberate on separation of legislative and executive powers, and, if time permits, increasing the number of county commissioners.
The next scheduled meetings of the Board of Freeholders are 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, Feb. 8 and Feb. 22, all at the Public Service Center.
