Board seeks applicants for four seats on Commission on Aging

Vancouver, WA – The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill four seats on the Clark County Commission on Aging. The commission provides leadership in addressing needs of the aging population while implementing strategies of county’s Aging Readiness Plan.
The plan assessed the county’s ability to serve aging residents and provides for equal access to housing, transportation, recreation, lifestyle choices, supportive services and civic/social engagement. For more on the plan, please visit www.clark.wa.gov/aging.
Volunteer service is for a three-year term. Clark County residents with experience and expertise in advocating for the needs of seniors, launching new programs and/or in the communication and marketing fields are encouraged to apply.
The commission meets at 4:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Applicants must assure their commitment to the meetings and approximately 10 additional hours per month for other committee meetings or events.
Those interested in serving are asked to submit a resume and letter explaining what expertise and/or experience they would bring to the Commission on Aging.
