Open house to cap decade of service by Commissioner Steve Stuart

Vancouver, WA – Commissioner Steve Stuart’s nearly 10 years of service on the Board of County Commissioners will be recognized during an informal open house Thursday, April 3.
The gathering will be 3 to 5 p.m. and include light refreshments. It will be on the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. Presentations will begin at 4 p.m.
Stuart was appointed to the county board in 2004. He was then elected in 2005, 2006 and 2010. In January, he announced he would not seek another term in the November 2014 general election.
A native of Ridgefield and graduate of Prairie High School, Stuart earned bachelors’ degrees in business and sociology at Linfield College and a law degree at the University of Oregon. He has accepted the position of Ridgefield city manager, effective April 14.
