If you are pregnant, you may qualify for low or no-cost health insurance through the Medicaid-Maternity Medical or Basic Health Maternity Benefits plans.
If you do not want to become pregnant, the Family Planning Only “Take Charge” Plan covers counseling, birth control and medical exams.

You apply for Medicaid-Maternity online or pick up an application at one of the following locations:
Choose a plan
Medicaid requires enrollment in Healthy Options managed care. After you turn in your application, you will be sent a Managed Care Packet. You can then select the insurance plan and physician that’s right for you. In Clark County, the 2009 plans are Columbia United Providers and Community Health Plan of Washington.

Basic Health
If you are enrolled in Basic Health you may also be eligible for Basic Health Maternity Benefits. You must notify Basic Health as soon as you find out that you are pregnant and submit an application within 30 days after your pregnancy is verified to receive maternity coverage.
