Responsible for Capital Improvement Programs road design needs. This section works closely with other Capital Improvement Program sections and Clark Countys' Transportation Planning Division to provide engineering plans for county built roads, storm water drainage, retention facilities and walkways. They also administer and oversee engineering contracts to consultant firms.
Designers work closely with many utility companies that occupy portions of the County right of way. This can be as minor as moving a single telephone line or as major as relocating a high pressure natural gas pipeline or a delicate fiber optics line. Careful planning is a high priority when private property and environmental concerns are present. Clark County is fully committed to sound conservation practices and incorporates them into all projects. Clark Countys' Design Section is proud to provide cost effective plans that are on target, on time, and on budget.
